写真から3D画像を作成 - Automatic Photo Pop-up

普通の写真から、飛び出す絵本のような見え方をする3D画像を作るサービスだそうです。

上記画像を見ていただいて分かるだろうか(ちと不安)？右側の写真が元の画像。左が3Dに変換した後の画像。是非動画(これ)も見てほしい。町の風景、電車、舟、どの写真もいきなり動き出す。

Our system automatically constructs simple “pop-up” 3D models, like those one would find in a children’s book, out of a single outdoor image. The system labels each region of an outdoor image as ground, vertical, or sky.

商用は無理らしいですが、これECサイトの商品写真とかに使ったら面白そうだなー。
